Ah, dear sweet Lucas, we adopted him about 3 years ago after he was found abandoned in a house. Obviously he had been mistreated by a man because he'd run and hide every time he saw my hubby, even though he's the one who feeds them.
He's gotten somewhat braver over the years, but since spraying the Scaredy Cat around the house for about a week now, Lucas will now stay where he is when my hubby appears. MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!
And our other scaredy cat, PandaBear, isn't skittering away as fast when she sees us and will even stand there watching us instead of running and hiding. She has a long way to go, but we're starting to see a difference in her level of comfort. She's even starting to play with our other 12 cats.
It's like having 2 new cats! We knew they're both worth the wait and we'll never give up on them. We can tell they're much happier now too.

I was hesitant about buying any supplements for my new 2-year-old kitty, but after seeing her freak out and hide from every sound outside my windows I thought I should try it. Tomorrow will be my five week mark with my new "fur-daughter" and she now acts like I've had her since day 1. No more darting under furniture and hiding for her. I, now, get a warm welcome home every day and she even greets complete strangers! I just put a few drops in her water and in her canned food twice a day. Scaredy Cat made a world of difference and I'm recommending Spirit Essences to anyone I know who has cat problems.
Long story short: It works (I had results in a little over one week) and I highly recommend it.

I adopted a feral stray that had started coming to my deck when he was about 2-3 months old. He was small, obviously the runt of the litter, and obviously the other outdoor cats were not letting him have any of the food available and I think his mother had either abandoned him or had a "mishap" for lack of a kinder term. Anyway, I befriended him and he started coming to my deck regularly knowing that he would find food here. Over the next month, he would come to the food dishes while they were right by my knees, and even had introduced him to a cat carrier by placing his food inside it, though he would not let me pet him. One day I say that he had been injured on his foreleg, and within a week he was limping. So I decided that I had no choice. I couldn't wait to gain his trust and let me handle him voluntarily; I had to trap him and get him medical care. So one day I place his food inside his cat carrier and when he went into it to eat I closed the door and trapped him in it; it freaked him out and I think that that was the moment that I completely broke whatever trust I had earned in him. I brought him inside, carefully treated him for fleas and took him to a vet for medical attention for him foreleg. He was about four months old +/- at this point. It turns out that he also had a respiratory infection that I didn't know about and he had to stay at the vet for a month while he was treated for that. When I was finally able to bring him home it was almost six weeks later, around 5 or 6 months old already, and he longer trusted me at all. Additionally, since, the vet said the leg wound was a puncture wound but couldn't determine if it from an animal bit or not, he needed to be quarantined in my home for six months to protect my other two 4 yr old cats. This concerned me because at such a young age I knew he wouldn’t learn any of the normal feline social skills from my other two cats if he couldn’t interact with them. And since he didn’t trust me anymore, earning back his trust has been a very slow process. When he was finally able to be allowed the run of the house he was already almost a year old. He would come near to me when I fed him but still wouldn’t let me touch him. Everyone was telling me that at that age, it would be neigh on impossible to domesticate him and integrate him into the family; that I should let him go outside; he would be happier. But with all the traffic in my area and the uncaring drivers, I couldn’t take the chance and do that to him.
I found this site just before it was time to attempt to integrate him with the other cats and got both the “Feral Cat Rehab” and “Scaredy Cat” formulas for the baby and the “Peacemaker” formula for my other cats. I put the “Feral Cat Rehab” in the feral cats food and “Scaredy Cat” around his favorite “safe” places. The two older cats are both are picky eaters and I can’t put the “Peacemaker” in their food, but I did put it in both in the common water supply and on their fur and they’re fine with that.
The results were amazing! Within a week the 1 yr old feral baby stopped hiding under the table and started venturing out into the house, trying to play with the other two cats; the two other cats significantly reduced the hissing at the baby, and now three months later, the 4yr old female is playing with him and grooming him while the baby is not only letting me pet him but is coming up to me asking me to pet him! He still won’t let me pick him up (in time, I’m sure he will, just not yet) but I can now not only pet his back but he rolls over and lets me pet his belly and plays with me! I couldn’t believe how well these formulas have worked so quickly to help my little cat family become a family. Amazing! I can honestly say that my little feral baby is no longer “feral.” I’m as happy as a clam! :-D
I highly recommend the “Feral Cat Rehab,” “Scaredy Cat” and “Peacemaker” formulas for anyone who is trying to domestic a feral cat and/or bring a feral cat into a family that has other already established cats. It may be a long, slow process at first, but be patient! It does work and you won’t regret it!
