Pretty Lady's Ordeal

It is every Guardian’s worst nightmare – a visit to the vet for a check-up results in a mass found in her mouth at her tonsils that tests positive for cancer. Referred immediately to veterinary specialists and the worst is confirmed: squamous cell carcinoma – surgery is not an option. Consultations with oncologists and radiology experts take up the next few days as our poor Pretty Lady gets put into her carrier and taken to scary places to be poked and prodded. She is by nature a very timid little girl and I have been so very nervous about the stress of all of this and the toll that it would take on her already fragile health. Radiation therapy once a week for 4 weeks is determined to be the best course of action to manage and shrink the tumor (there is no cure, it will come back and the historical prognosis is not good), stop it from recruiting blood cells to multiply and hopefully buy her more time with us until the Rainbow Bridge comes into view. I ordered Intensive Care immediately and received the day after her first radiation therapy session – hoping for something that would bring the light back to her hooded eyes and as soon as I began rubbing it on her head, down her spine and to the tips of her tail and ears, the welcome sound of purring revved up and her elevator butt started to climb. I apply it to her several times a day and it has greatly, greatly improved her demeanor and has aided my attempts to keep her interested in eating. Thank you SO MUCH Spirit Essences for providing a product that shows my Pretty Lady and light in her current circumstance. I do not doubt that without it our story would be very different right now. I am just saddened that this essence is not widely available to all guardians who sit alone in vet waiting rooms, worrying about their babies and how to express to them that we are doing the best that we can… please don’t give up! I intend to bring the bottle with me to our next session and show it to the staff and explain to them what a wonderful tool Intensive Care can be to the recovery of their patients.
